Beres Hammond is an Jamaican singer-songwriter from Annotto Bay.
Starting his music career in 1972, he released his debut album, 'Soul Reggae', in 1976, while balancing life as the lead singer of Zap Pow. He left the band in 1979 to release ‘Let's Make A Song’ in 1980 and ‘Red Light’ 1981. His seventh album, ‘A Love Affair’, released in 1992, saw him gain success in the USA. He has since released 18 albums across his career, the latest release being 2014’s ‘One Love, One Life’, which was nominated for a Grammy Award.
