Buddy Guy is an American singer and blues guitarist from Lettsworth, Louisiana.
Starting his music career when he moved to Chicago in 1958, he recorded for Cobra Records, before moving to Chess Records, where he released his debut album, ‘Left My Blues in San Francisco’, in 1967, but worked mainly as a session musician for the likes of Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson and Koko Taylor. He went on to release 16 more solo albums, with various labels, the latest being 2015’s, ‘Born to Play Guitar’, on RCA Records, as well as a long list of live and collaborative albums.
