Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights then followed in 2001, firmly establishing his place as a household name. He has also headlined his own sold-out shows and tours across the UK, including 2009's The Tour That Doesn't Tour Tour...Now On Tour...!, that Guinness World Records recognised as the most successful stand-up run in the world.

Peter Kay has announced his return to stand-up after a 12 year absence, heading out on a UK tour that runs from December 2022 to February 2026.
