Caro Emerald is the stage name of Caroline Esmeralda van der Leeuw, a Dutch pop and jazz singer and musician from Amsterdam.
Starting her music career in 2007, she released her debut album, ‘Deleted Scenes from the Cutting Room Floor’, in 2010, which hit #4 in the UK Albums Chart. Her second album, 'The Shocking Miss Emerald', released in 2013, hit the top of the chart. 2017 saw the release of a new EP, 'Emerald Island'. She has headlined her own shows and tours across the Europe, including in the UK, and has played Hampton Court Palace Festival. She played her 100th show in 2018 at London's Jazz Cafe.
