Chelsea is a English punk rock band from London, consisting of founding member Gene October, alongside James Stevenson, Nic Austin, Mat Sargent and Lee Morrell.
Formed in 1976, the band originally featured October, alongside Tony James, John Towe and William Broad, who is better known as Billy Idol, who went on to form Generation X. The band released their debut single, Right to Work, in 1977, followed by their debut self-titled album in 1979. They went on to release a further nine albums, their latest being ‘Saturday Night Sunday Morning’ in 2015.
