Conor Oberst is an American indie-rock and folk singer-songwriter and musician from Omaha, Nebraska.
Starting his music career in 1993, he released eight albums under the name Bright Eyes, alongside Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott. He also formed Desaparecidos and dropped two albums, 2002's ‘Read Music/Speak Spanish' and 2015's 'Payola' in 2015. He then established Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, releasing three albums, and Monsters of Folk, who released their self-titled LP in 2009. In 2008, Oberst released his debut self-titled solo studio album, followed by ‘Upside Down Mountain’ in 2014, ‘Ruminations’ in 2016 and ‘Salutations’ in 2017 via Nonesuch Records. Conor Oberst has scheduled two four-date residencies in New York and Los Angeles for March and April 2024. The first, at Los Angeles' Teragram Ballroom, runs every Thursday in March, while the New York residency will take place every Thursday in April at the Bowery Ballroom.
