Goldfrapp have announced their first major UK tour in two years, taking place in November 2010.
The tour announcement comes as the band embark on several major festival performances this summer, taking their brand new 'Head First' album on the road for the first time.
Ahead of their own tour, UK shows confirmed so far include headlining a night at the iTunes Festival, as well as T in the Park, Oxegen, V and LED. Goldfrapp are also playing headline shows in Australia this summer as well as several major European festivals including Benicassim and Pukkelpop. Following the massive acclaim for both the Supernature and Seventh Tree tours (The Observer said the latter was 'a privilege to witness') and festival appearances around the world, Goldfrapp have underlined their reputation as one of the most transcendent and inventive live bands around.
Meanwhile Goldfrapp release their brand new single 'Believer' on 6th September through Mute. 'Believer' is the latest single to be taken from 'Head First' following the fantastic singles 'Rocket' and 'Alive'. 'Believer' comes with a fabulous remix package including mixes by Vince Clarke, Subway, Joris Voorn and Davide Rossi.
'Head First' is Goldfrapp's most powerful trip to date, a speedy rush of synth optimism, euphoria, fantasy and romance. With life affirming lyrics and stellar production it lifts off at full tilt and takes us on a journey to the heart of 2010 and was described as 'pop of the highest order' by the Sunday Times.
