Fresh from their recent support slot at the Rage Against The Machine free show, playing to over 50,000 wild, rocking comrades, Gogol Bordello have announced a series of dates for a return to the UK this Winter.
A Gypsy-punk group formed in 1999, Gogol Bordello hail from the Lower East Side of New York City. Much of the band’s music is influenced by gypsy music with minor-key accordion and violin an ever-present sound amongst the punk and dub beats.
World famous for their electrifying live shows, Gogol Bordello are currently enjoying a UK summer full of huge outdoor performances. Having already supported the titanic Rage Against The Machine at London’s Finsbury Park on June 6th, the gypsy-punk band now have their eyes set on the main stage at the Reading/Leeds festival later next month.
Releasing their latest album on April 27th to warm reviews across the globe, the Rick Rubin produced ‘Trans-Continental Hustle’ was the follow-up to 2007’s ‘Super Taranta!’
Their next single off the new album, expected to be “Immigraniada (We Come Rougher)”, is said to be one of their most mental, anthemic songs with the track being unleashed to coincide with their newly announced tour dates.
