Train Confirm Initial Four Dates Of UK Tour & Tickets

American “adult” rock trio Train have announced four initial dates for a UK tour this October.

Formed in 1998 in San Fransico, Train hit mainstream success pretty much instantly. Some of you may remember their hugely successful grammy-award winning 2001 hit ‘Drops Of Jupiter’ which came from their most popular album to date, their second album of the same name ‘Drops Of Jupiter’.

Announcing their hiatus in November 2006, the band took a three-year break from music to be with friends and family. Returning in August this year with a new single, their rock guitars and catchy choruses at the ready, lead vocalist Patrick Monahan has already captured a new generation of fans by means of his distinctive voice.

Bounding back into the spotlight with new album ‘Save Me San Fransico’, the band’s fifth studio offering, the album is also responsible for spawning the infections summer sing-a-long song ‘Hey, Soul Sister’, which you must’ve heard by now!

With the song now officially their most successful song of their career, charting in the top ten across several countries. Train are rolling full steam ahead down a track that’s heading from strength to strength.

Announcing four initial shows as part of a UK tour this autumn, Train kick-off their tour on 20th October at Birmingham’s O2 Academy.

Train will play the following UK dates:

October 2010

20th O2 Academy, Birmingham
23rd Manchester University
24th O2 Academy, Bristol
25th O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London

Tickets are onsale from 9am on Friday 16th July.
