Fresh from their headline show at last weekend’s Latitude Festival, scottish indie-pop giants Belle & Sebastian have revealed a string of UK dates for a tour this December.
At the moment the group have only confirmed a handful of shows and seeing that they are yet to list anywhere in London as a venue, it looks as though more dates will be announced over the next month or two.
This new tour shall be Belle & Sebastian’s first UK tour in almost four years, so we can all expect a mad rush for tickets. Having announced a hiatus in 2006, the group had a bit of break while frontman Stuart Murdoch rolled-out his side project God Help The Girl.
Now regarded as one of the most critically acclaimed UK bands in the last twenty years, a new album is now expected from Belle & Sebastian with the group having just returned from recording sessions in LA. Word has it that the new album is expected to drop sometime later this year, possibly to coincide with the new tour.
Kicking-off in Gateshead on December 5th, the tour currently only consists of seven dates across England and Scotland. More dates are expected to be announced shortly.
