Australian drum ’n’ bass outfit and one of the most popular acts of their genre, Pendulum, have revealed details of a December UK arena tour.
Forming in 2002, Pendulum materialised through the group’s founding member's mutual love of various styles of music. Blending together a range of influences and styles to create a sound they felt was missing from dance music, the formula has led the group to sell over 1 million records worldwide.
Hailing from Perth in Western Australia, the members of Pendulum are no strangers to dance music having been on the Perth live music scene for several years. Emerging from the underground circuit, Pendulum’s first single “Granite” from 2008 album ‘In Silico’ propelled the group into the Top 30 of the UK charts. However, it wasn’t until BBC Radio One heavily rotated their follow-up single “Propane Nightmares” that Pendulum were launched into the mainstream.
Fresh from supporting dance giants The Prodigy at the last weekend’s enormous Milton Keynes Bowl show, Pendulum are known to perform one of the most visceral and exhilarating live shows around. The group hit the road later this year in December for a six-date jaunt, their first ever arena tour, visiting some of the biggest venues in the country.
Pendulum will play the following UK dates:
December 2010
2nd National Indoor Arena, Birmingham
3rd Wembley Arena, London
4th Trent FM Arena, Nottingham
7th Bournemouth International Centre
8th Manchester Central (formerly GMEX)
9th Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle
Tickets are available from 9am on Friday 30th Arena.
