Grime artist Wiley has revealed details of his upcoming UK 'The Elusive Tour' for October and November 2010. Wiley will be supported on tour by JME (Boy Better Know), Fugative, RD aka Ruff Diamondz and the rest of the A-List team.
Despite a career that spans more than 15 years, 9 mixtapes and 4 albums, this will be Wiley's very first foray into UK-wide live touring. Dubbed the 'Godfather of Grime', Wiley was one of the first MC's to give the genre its name and is one of the scene's most innovative artists to date.
Wiley has sold over one million singles in the last 18 months with hits such as ""Wearing my Rolex", "Cash in my Pocket", "Take That" and "Never Be Your Woman". He has also had a number one hit "Good Times" with his band Roll Deep. Wiley has been at the forefront of discovering and pioneering Urban Music since his emergence onto the scene over a decade ago, ranging from Dizzee Rascal to Tinchy Styrder. From his first record "Phaze One" and "Nicole Groove" to "Present Day" Wiley has been an unparallel force in Music and had a massive hand in creating what is known as Grime music today.
In 2010 he formed new label The A-List with 11 new acts he believed could take it to the next level with his support. The A-List consists of Wiley, J2K, Baby Blue, Sadie Ama, Young Kye, Wrigley, Kivanc, Brazen, Mz Bratt, Shola Ama and Scratchy. The first single to be released through A-List "Midnight Lover" has already reached over 500,000 views in a few months on YouTube.
For The Elusive Tour Wiley wants to bring to life the whirlwind Life of Wiley in musical form, alongside acts he truly believes in. Wiley wants to show the UK and World Media why he is "Godfather of Grime".
