Stephen Fry Announces Shows For 'My Autobiography Part II Live!' & Tickets

National Treasure Stephen Fry has announced details of two live shows for next month, with the actor, writer, director, journalist, comedian and television presenter performing in Oxford on September 18th and again in London on September 20th.

Multi-award winning Stephen Fry is hugely popular for a mixture of different work. Born in London in 1957 and raised in Norfolk, he first came into the limelight as a comedian in the early 1980’s working with university friend Hugh Laurie in TV show ‘A Bit of Fry and Laurie’. Since then Fry has gone on to forge an astonishing showbiz career with the star currently presenting popular television quiz show ‘QI’.

The performances scheduled for September will take place at Oxford’s intimate New Theatre and London’s historic Royal Albert Hall with each appearance consisting of Fry reading from his autobiography ‘Fry: A Memoir’. Not only will the live shows mark the release of his long-awaited second batch of memoirs, it will also give fans and exclusive insight into the revealing new book.

Renown for his sharp wit and linguistic skills, the shows promise to be a fantastic night of entertainment. Now a master at the one-line gags, an example of Fry’s humour can be seen in a previous comment he made when asked about his sexuality. “I suppose it all began when I came out of the womb. I looked back up at my mother and thought to myself, ‘That’s the last time I’m going up one of those.’”

Following each performance Stephen Fry will be sticking around to sign copies of his new book, which is set for release on September 16th.

Stephen Fry will play the following UK dates:

September 2010

18th New Theatre, Oxford
20th Royal Albert Hall, London
