Urban music award-winners Roll Deep, the crew who kick-started the careers of both Dizzee Rascal and Wiley, have announced a UK tour for early 2011.
The London-based grime music collective formed in 2002 and went on to spawn the careers of former members Dizzee Rascal, Wiley and Tinchy Stryder who have gone on to be hugely successful stars in the UK as well as the United States.
Having gathered a huge fan base through the sales of 2005 debut album ‘In at the Deep End’, their 2007 follow-up ‘Rules and Regulations’ and most recent ‘Return of the Big Money Sound’ in 2008, Roll Deep are currently preparing their fourth album ‘Winner Stays On’ for October for release in October.
In addition to the news of the forthcoming new album, fans will also be celebrating the news that Roll Deep’s new single ‘Green Light’ went straight into the singles chart at Number One this week. Beating off tough competition from rap superstar Eminem’s current single ‘Love The Way You Lie’, this is the second time the pop grime crew have topped the charts after their last single ‘Good Times’ reached to top spot last May.
Riding high on their recent success, Roll Deep have now announced a UK tour for early next year, scheduling an eleven-date tour for February 2011.
