Q magazine have announced the line-up for a series of exclusive shows arranged for the week leading up to the Q Awards ceremony 2010.
This year the Q Awards will take place on October 25th in Central London and to help launch the official ceremony five exclusive shows have been arranged at the HMV Forum in Kentish Town, London, for the five days leading up to the big day.
Kicking-off the celebrations, who else is there better than Jamiroquai to get a party started! Performing on Wednesday October 20th, Jamiroquai will be previewing new tracks from his forthcoming new album, his first offering of new material in 5 years, ‘Rock Dust Light Star’.
Next up, Thursday October 21st will see London lads Chase and Status laying down their diverse electronic sound that has propelled the duo to pioneers of the newest genre of today’s music. The pair will also be launching their as-yet-untitled new album at the show.
Paulo Nutini will be playing one of his more intimate shows on Friday October 22nd following a summer of festival appearances. The 23-year-old’s latest album ‘Sunnyside’ has already gone platinum four times, that as well as the release of another two previous successful albums makes him one of the most popular young artists of today.
Saturday October 23rd will see Mark Ronson play his Grammy and Brit award-winning music. Forming new group The Business Intl and producing one of the summer’s biggest anthems ‘Bang Bang Bang’, Ronson will take to the stage promoting his new album ‘Record Collection’ which is released on September 27th.
To close the series of launch parties, music legend Neil Finn will perform an intimate set at London’s Camden Jazz Café on Sunday 24th October.
