BRIT award-winning singer-songwriter KT Tunstall has confirmed she will take to the road in October to support her eagerly awaited third album ‘Tiger Suit’.
Winner of Best British Female Solo Artist at the 2006 BRIT awards, KT Tunstall needs very little introduction these days – the evidence of her success is unavoidable in Britain today. It has been a while since we have heard from the Scottish singer and musician but her anticipated third album ‘Tiger Suit’ is just about to hit the shelves with a release date slated for 27th September.
The new album will mark the return of KT Tunstall, with ‘Tiger Suit’ being her first album since 2007’s ‘Drastic Fantastic’. Tunstall laid down most of the demos for her new record at her recently acquired country hideaway and signed up producer Jim Abiss, famous for his work with Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and Editors amongst others, to help with work on the new album.
Recorded at Berlin’s legendary Hansa Studios, ‘Tiger Suit’ was first aired in the same building that has hosted studio time by the likes of David Bowie, when he recorded his album ‘Heroes’, as well as U2’s recording sessions for their ‘Achtung Baby’ album.
Hitting the road for the first time in three years to showcase her new material, KT Tunstall, accompanied by a new band of musicians that includes former Ash guitarist Charlotte Hatherley, will play a five-date tour of the UK.
KT Tunstall will play the following UK dates:
October 2010
19th The Junction, Cambridge
20th O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, London
21st Ritz, Manchester
23rd Barrowlands, Glasgow
24th Wulfren Hall, Wolverhampton
Tickets are on presale from 9am on Wednesday 1st September and released on general sale from 9am on Friday 3rd September.
