Pin Me Down have announced they will release their new single ‘Curious (Pin Me Down vs Co-Pilots Remix)’ on Monday October 11th.
The single, which will be available as a limited edition 7” vinyl and as a download, is a reworking of the track taken from Pin Me Down’s eponymously titled debut album released earlier this year. The track has been remixed and reworked by Co-Pilots, which is Russell Lissack and Jamie Ellis’ remix and DJ nom de plume.
Formed in 2007, Pin Me Down is a pop, electrica, rock collaboration between guitarist Russell Lissack, of the British band Bloc Party, and vocalist Milena Mepris, formerly of the electro-punk band Black Moustache. The pair met several years ago when Milena's old band supported Bloc Party in New York. Having discovered a shared love of guitars and 80s artists such as Kate Bush, Cyndi Lauper and New Order the pair decided to explore new frontiers together.
Pin Me Down fuse energetic pop melodies with razor-sharp guitar sounds, creating what Mepris likes to call, “apocalyptic pop”. Fans can check out the new single as well as the video on the band's official website target="_blank">http://www.pinmedown.net
