The Horrors have shared another single from their upcoming studio album.
Following The Silence That Remains, Trial By Fire is the second preview of 'Night Life', due out on March 21 via Fiction Records. It offers a gothic, more industrial and abrasive sound, like that previously heard on their 2021 EPs, 'Lout' and 'Against The Blade'. Introducing the song, the band said:
"Trial By Fire is one of the more aggressive songs on 'Night Life', bridging the gap between our two industrial EPs and the new album.
"Rhys began the demo in Southend isolation, before we got together and twisted it into something meaner. It’s about the curses that follow you through your life. For The Horrors, every day is Halloween."
The follow-up to 2017's 'V' was recorded between Los Angeles and London with producer Yves Rothman, following initial demos that began in bassist Rhys Webb's basement flat in North London.
The Horrors have a series of intimate UK shows in the diary for the winter. Tickets are on sale now.
