Kings Of Leon Reveal Video For Upcoming New Single 'Radioactive'

American indie-rockers Kings of Leon have released the video to their new track 'Radioactive' with the single set to hit shelves on October 11th.

Kings of Leon's global success came about after the release of their last album 'Only By The Night'. Despite already having released previous three albums 'Youth and Young Manhood', 'Aha Shake Heartbreak' and 'Because of the Times', it was their 2008 offering 'Only By The Night' that broke them into the mainstream, propelling them to rock royalty status across the world.

Unlike many bands who take time off following the release of a huge album, King of Leon barely took a day off inbetween the release of their last album, the constant touring and the recording of forthcoming fifth studio album 'Come Around Sundown'. With the new album set for release on October 18th, the band have left fans stunned at the speed of their comeback.

The first track to be released from upcoming new album has been announced as 'Radioactive'. Making its UK radio debut this morning, the track was written around the same time as the band's second album 'Aha Shake Heartbreak' and according to Kings of Leon 'Radioactive' was the first song the group began working on following the release of 'Aha Shake Heartbreak' back in 2004.

Speaking about the new track, which contains backing vocals from a gospel choir, Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill had this to say. “I think after my Grandma see’s the video she definitely won’t think we’ll be going to hell as fast as she did think we were going. We grew up in this kind of lifestyle, gospel music was a big part of us so to be able to come back and revisit that part of our lives in this stage of our lives is pretty special".

Kings of Leon will release first single 'Radioactive' on October 11th and the video accompanying the track can be seen below.
