Having just released their eagerly-awaited second album 'Science and Faith', The Script have now announced a trio of dates for an Irish tour in March 2011.
Its been a rags to riches story for the three young Dubliner lads who sight their diverse influences as U2, Timbaland and Van Morrison. Playing their own blend of rock, hip-hop and soul music, in two years they have taken on the world and delivered a handful of singles, including 'We Cry', 'Breakeven' and 'The Man Who Cant Be Moved'.
Now close to 2 million sales across the world, The Script's self-titled debut album shot to Number One in both the UK and Ireland and propelled them to mainstream success in the US. Their hit single 'Breakeven' entered the Billboard Hot 100 at Number Twelve, then followed some huge stadium shows with music heroes U2, Take That and Paul McCartney as well a succesfful homecoming performance at Ireland's Oxegen festival in front of 78,000 fans.
The band have gone on to win Best Live Performance at the 2010 Meteor Awards, beating their U2 heroes, and to cap things off, 'Breakeven' became one of the slowest climbers in US pop history which eventually hit the top of Billboards Radio Airplay chart after 40 weeks on release. The single has since now sold over 1.7 million downloads stateside alone.
