Folky guitar strummer Newton Faulkner has confirmed he will take his soulful and heartfelt acoustic blues to Scotland later this year, announcing a string of dates for the Highlands and Islands.
The gold-selling British singer-songwriter and musician rose to success following the release of his 2007 debut album 'Hand Built By Robots'. Attracted to his unique picking playing technique and his distinctive lid-back style, fans warmly received his music that has included hits such as 'Dream Catch Me' and a cover of Massive Attack's hugely popular 'Teardrop'.
Being compared to artists such as Jack Johnson, Faulkner went on to release his second album last year with BRIT nominated 'Rebuilt By Humans' being named after Faulkner completely dislocated his right hand while on a skiing holiday, nearly bringing an end to the musician's guitar playing career.
Now, complete with metal plates and screws in his hand, Newton Faulkner is back playing guitar again and will tour the Scottish highlands and islands this November. More shows could be announced in the coming weeks, check back to Stereoboard for updates.
