Having supported the likes of U2 and Take That at huge stadium gigs last year, The Script will take centre stage in 2011 following confirmation that their first UK headline arena tour will go ahead in March.
Having just released their eagerly-awaited second album 'Science and Faith', The Script will play 11 dates for the new tour where the trio will no doubt be showcasing their new material to the hordes of UK fans.
Its been a rags to riches story for the three young Dubliner lads who sight their diverse influences as U2, Timbaland and Van Morrison. Playing their own blend of rock, hip-hop and soul music, in two years they have taken on the world and delivered a handful of singles, including 'We Cry', 'Breakeven' and 'The Man Who Cant Be Moved'.
Now close to 2 million sales across the world, The Script's self-titled debut album shot to Number One in both the UK and Ireland and propelled them to mainstream success in the US. Their hit single 'Breakeven' entered the Billboard Hot 100 at Number Twelve, then followed some huge stadium shows with music heroes U2, Take That and Paul McCartney as well a successful homecoming performance at Ireland's Oxegen festival in front of 78,000 fans.
The 2011 tour gets underway in Liverpool on March 14th and will close in Cardiff on March 29th. A full list of shows are below and if you're planning to buy some tickets, be warned, the band sold out their three previously announced Dublin gigs in just under 40 minutes.
