Alternative indie-punk rockers The Psychedelic Furs have revealed they will return to the UK next month to perform their acclaimed album 'Talk Talk Talk' in its entirety at five select shows.
The Furs formed in the late 1970s and are known as leaders of the British post-punk scene of the early 1980's. The Psychedelic Furs are also huge in America. After their track 'Love My Way' reigned over the Stateside airwaves in 1982, the band went on to superstar status when their 'Pretty In Pink' hit became the title song of the late John Hughes' popular teen movie.
The band's American success continued with sell-out shows and chart hits throughout the decade and following a hiatus in 1992, co-founders of the band, brothers Richard and Tim, decided to reform the band in 2001. Hinting about plans to record a studio album, Furs frontman Richard Butler had this to say about the band's second chapter. “There’s always been great tension and energy in what we do. But it’sreally all about the fans of the band. That’s what keeps it fun. Without them we wouldn’t still be here.”
The Furs return to the UK on October 24th for five select shows that will see the band perform their 1981 acclaimed album 'Talk Talk Talk' in its entirety. The band will also include some of their other classics in the set too.
