Retro/Grade To Support Goldfrapp On UK Winter Tour Dates

Retro/Grade, fresh from supporting Groove Armada on their sell out UK tour have now announced they will be supporting Goldfrapp on their forthcoming tour. They’ll be DJing each night and will be the perfect compliment to Goldfrapp’s unique, genre-twisting live show.
Recently signed to Deconstruction, Retro/Grade are Serge Santiago and Tom Neville. Two musical soul mates, they are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album, due in 2011. It will be one of the defining dance records of the year, full of inventiveness and a joyride of an album that will light the way to the dancefloor and beyond. Armed with a killer live show, they are set to take their unique italo-inspired sound overground, and by the summer will the name on everyone’s lips.
Retro/Grade have already been adopted by seminal DJs and tastemakers have been playing their debut single MODA – Erol Alkan, A-Trak, Simian Mobile Disco, Annie Mac and more. Recent release ‘Escape Sequence’ illustrated their sense of percussion and bass, a snapshot into their musical universe.
Influences come from far and wide – Giorgio Moroder is one but equally film, art, and games play a part. Energy and focus are key and with their wide-eyed ambition, Retro/Grade are looking beyond the horizon to explore new places. Check out their new single 'Escape Sequence' below.
