Scissor Sisters are a synth-pop band based in New York City, New York.
Formed in 2001, they rapidly progressed from New York City basement clubs to some of the world's biggest stages, racking up hit after hit with tracks such as Take Your Mama, Laura, Filthy/Gorgeous, I Don't Feel Like Dancin', Mary and Kiss You Off. They have released four albums to date, picking up a number of honours and accolades for their work including three BRIT Awards and a Grammy nomination before their split in 2012.
