De Staat Forced To Postpone UK Tour

Dutch band De Staat have been forced to pull out of their first UK tour this week after keyboardist/ percussionist/ guitarist Rocco seriously injured his arm and had to be operated on immediately.

Rocco has been told by doctors to rest for at least 2 weeks and is not allowed to fly. They are looking to re-schedule their tour dates for early 2011 prior to the release of their new album.

The band say on their website: “We feel terrible. But mostly Rocco does. His elbow got dislocated. He just had surgery. He can hardly move, let alone travel and play. So London, Bristol, Manchester and Nottingham, our apologies. We won't come down this time. BUT WE SHALL RETURN. We'll let you know when. Let’s wish Rocco well, we will see you Brits soon ey?”

De Staat have postponed the following November UK shows:

2nd Camden Barfly, London – POSTPONED
3rd Louisiana, Bristol – POSTPONED
4th Deaf Institute, Manchester – POSTPONED
5th Bodega, Nottingham – POSTPONED

In other news, De Staat release the title track from their upcoming new album today. ‘Wait for Evolution’ has been released as a download today. You can check out the video accompanying the track below.
