Train have announced details of their new single 'Shake Up Christmas.' Due to be released on 20th December, the track features on a special edition version of the band’s critically-acclaimed fifth album 'Save Me, San Francisco – Golden Gate Edition'.
Train, who recently hit charts internationally with the song 'Hey, Soul Sister', which has now sold over 6 million copies worldwide, are nominated for two American Music Awards. They debuted 'Shake Up Christmas' at a concert in London at Shepherds Bush Empire on 25th October. The show was filmed by MTV and will be broadcast globally as part of their “World Stage” programming.
The song will also be featured on Coca-Cola’s Christmas TV advertising campaign which will be shown in over 90 countries worldwide. “The holiday season is one of the best times of the year,” said Pat Monahan, lead vocalist and founding member of Train. “The song “Shake Up Christmas” is inspired by childhood memories of spending time with family and sharing the happiness and hope that the season brings. Having it be part of the Coca-Cola campaign is a wonderful way to share that sentiment with a bigger audience. We are looking forward to performing it for our fans during the coming weeks.”
