CocknBullKid aka Anita Blay has marked the release of her new single 'One Eye Closed' this week by announcing details of her first London headline date for nearly two years with a show at XOYO on Monday, 6th
December.
Anita has already whet our appetites having just supported Marina & the Diamonds in London. Anita returns to London later this month to support Kele at Electric Ballroom on November 19th before headlining XOYO in early December. Support on the night comes from Dominique Young Unique and Visions of Trees. Summer Camp and Little Boots both DJ.
The 25 year old Hackney resident, aka Anita Blay, is in possession of the most interesting, credible pop record of the year. But you’ll just have to take our word for it until spring 2011 when the full album, ‘Adulthood’ will be released. ‘One Eye Closed’ is the perfect launch pad for what’s in store for 2011. Once again illustrating Blay’s overwhelming ability to pen a perfect pop song with just the right amount of edge.
