Chase & Status return with the release of 'Blind Faith' featuring rising star Liam Bailey on the 24th January, out through Vertigo Records. The cross-over dub-step smash is sure to be another hit for the duo, Will Kennard and Saul Milton, and precedes the release of their highly anticipated second album 'No More Idols' out on January 31st.
Their most recent single 'Hypest Hype' was released as a free download last week and was described by the Guardian Guide as the ‘best thing I’ve heard this decade’, it exceeded all expectations, with over 50,000 people downloading in its first week. It is a blistering hybrid of heavy guitars and massive drum breaks, coupled with a ferocious vocal performance from new underground superstar Tempa T. Before that, Chase & Status released the top ten smashes 'End Credits' ft Plan B and 'Let You Go' ft Mali as well as the street single 'Heavy', the critically acclaimed collaboration with Dizzee Rascal and Chase & Status.
Chase & Status released their Gold debut album 'More Than A Lot' in October 2008, through Independent label RAM Records. Since then, they have been touring constantly and bringing their incredible live show to over ½ a million people this year already. They have had 2 sold out tours in 2010 and sold out the London Kentish Town Forum last month. Add to this, they headlined many of the UK and Europe’s major festivals and cause pandemonium where ever they go – see a glimpse of their live show in their 'Hypest Hype' video – live below
Chase & Status also won a Q Award for Best Video and have been nominated for Critics Choice Festival Headliner at the UK Festival Awards.
Whether it is Drum & Bass, Hip-Hop, or Dubstep, the duo’s versatility has enabled them to become leaders within the most cutting edge genres. In the past 18 months their production work includes some highly-praised remix work for Jay Z and The Prodigy’s recent comeback and the twosome produced a bunch of tracks on Rihannas 4th album 'Rated R'.
