Lighthouse Family have announced their first major tour in seven years, with the band revealing plans to play all their hits during shows across England, Scotland in February 2011.
Forming in 1993, after vocalist Tunde Baiyewu and keyboardist Paul Tucker met while studying at Newcastle University, Lighthouse Family experience massive success from their debut album 'Ocean Drive'.
With 'Ocean Drive' selling more than 1.8 million copies and being certified six times platinum in the UK alone, Lighthouse Family went on to release 'Postcards From Heaven' and 'Whatever Gets You Through The Day', selling over 10 million records worldwide. Lighthouse Family also scored a number of Top Ten hits with songs such as 'Lifted', 'Ocean Drive', 'High' and 'Raincloud'.
After working on individual projects, Tunde, Paul and the band have signed a new deal with Sony which will see the Lighthouse Family record a brand new album following this new tour. The band's last tour was one of the biggest selling of thay year only beaten by the Spice Girls.
