Mercury Rev To Play 'Deserter's Songs' At London, Manchester And Dublin Shows & Tickets

Veteran New York rockers Mercury Rev have announced they will play London's Roundhouse venue next year as well as a show Manchester's Bridgewater Hall and Dublin's Vicar Street for special performances of their 1998 classic album 'Deserter's Songs'.
Mercury Rev's 'Deserter's Sessions' was recorded in 1997 and features the classic songs such as 'Godess on a Hiway', 'Holes' and 'Opus40'. It was crowned both NME and Mojo magazine's 'Album Of The Year' in 1998 as well being recognised by several other international music publications.
The special 'Deserter's Songs' performances are set for May 2011 and are part of the ATP's (All Tomorrow's Parties) Dont Look Back season, which has already featured album performances by The Stooges (Fun House) and Sonic Youth (Daydream Nation). Another band confirmed as part of Dont Look Back are The Flaming Lips, who will headline London's Alexandra Palace on July 1st with a performance of their 1998 album 'The Soft Bulletin'. Deefhoof play their 2004 album 'Milk Man' and Dinosaur Jr play their 1988 'Bug' on the July 1st bill also.
