Following a string of sell-out shows, Rumer has announced details of a Spring 2011 UK tour. She will play ten initial shows nationwide in March and April next year, commencing at Bristol’s Colston Hall on March 21st and including a show at London’s Royal Festive Hall on March 28th.
Rumer's voice has been described by The Guardian as being reminiscent of Karen Carpenter. Her debut single, 'Slow', was featured on Smooth FM, and their single 'Aretha' on BBC Radio 2 as a Record of the Week, and she is signed to Atlantic Records. When Rumer was discovered by Burt Bacharach, he paid for her flight to California so he could hear her sing!
Her debut album 'Seasons Of My Soul' was released earlier this month on November 1st and was met with rave reviews. The announcement of this new tour follows news that Rumer is set to release a special collaboration with the legendary Burt Bacharach and playwright Steven Stater featuring a brand new Bacharach composition 'Some Lovers' and the classic 'Alfie'.
