Pioneers of LA hardcore, The Descendants, have announced what looks to be a one-off show at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on April 25th next year.
The Californian band, who have been gigging since 1978, will return to the UK for the first time in years in 2011. Only one date has been confirmed at the moment so its stll unclear whether The Descendants decide to venture out of the capital on their visit. With just the one gig planned, expect a mighty scramble for tickets come their release on Friday.
The Descendants released their debut album, Milo Goes To College', nearly 30 years ago in 1982. Inventing the modern pop-punk sound that has influenced so many bands since, over the years they churned out genre-defining albums and became one of the biggest bands in American punk rock.
Releasing their latest album, 'Cool To Be You', back in 2004, The Descendants will bring their combination of nerdy, potty humour lyrics and catchy punk rock sound to London in April next year. Full details of the show are listed below.
