Communion Records - set-up and run by Kev Jones and Mumford & Sons' Ben Lovett - have announced details of the debut New York show for their massively-successful club nights.
What would you expect if one of the most highly revered live music club nights in London (and across the UK) were to Launch in New York City? Nothing but their best foot forward of course. And on the 9th of January we're going to experience exactly what the best means to Communion. An eclectic collection of artists who are all brilliant at what they do, delivering six live sets back to back.
Taking place at the Public Assembly in Williamsburg on the 9th January 2011, the night will feature performances from Alex Winston, Marques Toliver, Bobby Long, Pearl & The Beard, Simone Felice and Emil & Friends. On the decks will be Neon Gold, Sean Glass and The Knocks.
Communion HQ say: "Communion is for the music-lover. It's a night for those of us who when asked, "What do you like to listen to?", have no better answer than, "A bit of everything". Communion is a non-exclusive community of people who just want to enjoy a quality evening of music on a Sunday night... We've hand-picked this line-up for you and deliberated over it for many weeks. We love every act."
