Canadian indie-rock titans Arcade Fire have announced two new huge UK shows at Manchester MEN Arena and Edinburgh Castle on August 31st and September 1st. These two new shows follow the confirmation of a massive show at London's Hyde Park on June 30th.
Arcade Fire, who released their third album, 'The Suburbs', to critical acclaim last year along with a sell out arena tour in December 2010, are set to return to the UK to play a massive show at Hyde Park in London on Thursday June 30th 2011. In addition to the London show, the band have now announced a show in Manchester as well as being the first band to play the new multi-million pound Edinburgh Castle Arena. The announcement of these new shows fuels speculation that Arcade Fire could be headlining this year's Glastonbury Festival.
We also understand Win Bulter and co will release a new single and album in March 2011, with details yet to be confirmed on whether the LP will be a studio or live release. 'City With No Children' from latest album The Suburbs is set for release on March 14th, with the as yet to be confirmed album on March 28th.
Arcade Fire have announced the following UK shows:
Thursday June 30th - Hyde Park, London (with support from Mumford & Sons, Beirut and The Vaccines)
Wednesday August 31st - Manchester MEN Arena – NEW DATE
Thursday 1st September - Edinburgh Castle – NEW DATE
