Following the recent announcement of their biggest headlining show to date at London’s Heaven venue on 28th April, dubstep duo Mount Kimbie have revealed details of a full UK tour to coincide with the performance. The tour follows the release of last year’s debut album ‘Crooks and Lovers’, which was widely praised throughout the British press.
The album, which mixes together a number of different genres including dubstep, garage and hip-hop, was recently named as one of the ten nominees for The Guardian’s annual First Album Award. Mount Kimbie were up against the likes of Delphic, Everything Everything, Marina and the Diamonds, Rumer and Tinie Tempah for the prize, which was ultimately awarded to Gold Panda for his album ‘Lucky Shiner’.
Mount Kimbie will also be featured on Channel 4’s new music show ‘Abbey Road Debuts’, which is due to begin in April. Other acts to feature on the series include James Blake, Crystal Fighters and Treefight for Sunlight.
