R&B songstress Erykah Badu has been announced as the support act for the Wembley Arena date on the forthcoming tour of Nas and Damian Marley. The vocalist will perform at the London venue on 31st March, warming-up for the hip-hop and reggae stars as they head over to the UK in support of their 2010 collaborative album ‘Distant Relatives’.
Badu released her fifth album ‘New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh)’ in early 2010 and performed a headlining show at London’s Brixton O2 Academy later the same year. She first came to prominence in 2007 following the release of her debut album ‘Baduizm’, which has since gone triple-Platinum in the US and Gold in the UK.
Nas and Damian Marley released ‘Distant Relatives’ last year to critical acclaim. It was their first collaborative album, having previously worked together on the track 'Road To Zion' from Damian Marley's album 'Welcome to Jamrock'. Jamaican dancehall artist Spragga Benz will provide support for all three dates on the upcoming tour.
