Madina Lake To Tour In November

Chicago alt rockers Madina Lake have dropped the heaviest hint yet that they are ready to tour again, less than a year after Matthew Leone was hospitalised with a fractured skull and swollen brain after intervening in a domestic fight between another couple in June 2010.

Taking to their Twitter feed (@madinalake) the band tweeted ‘oh yes btw were planning UK tour as we speak. I'm probably not supposed to say anything but Novembers like my fav month of all time.’ This would follow the dates they are already committed to as part of the Vans Warped Tour through the US during June and July.

Having already been announced as part of the bill for June’s Download festival the band are also working on their third studio album which will be titled ‘World War 3’ and Matthew Leone had this to say when speaking to Rocksound about it.

"Aspirations for the record are pretty humble. We feel like we’ve established ourselves and most bands don’t get to third records so we feel lucky. We are not dying to be huge and blow up we just want to carry on."

Having released two EP’s and two full studio albums since forming in 2005, Madina Lake are probably best known for their debut album ‘From Them, Through Us, To You’ in 2007 which won best international newcomer at that year's Kerrang awards. ‘Attics To Eden’ followed in 2009 which they toured throughout Europe, including the 2009 Reading & Leeds festivals.

Their most recent release was ‘The Dresden Codex’ last year which was performed in the UK at Sonisphere festival as well as Kent’s ‘Hevy Music Festival’ but this tour would be their first full visit to the UK in two years.

All four of Madina Lake’s albums are based around a concept of a fictional 50’s town which is isolated from the rest of the World and follows the mysterious disappearance of a socialite called Adalia created by Matthew Leone. The concept is said to cover three albums, and a book while the website contains information for fans about clues hidden in the bands lyrics, artwork and music videos.
