X-Factor favourite Olly Murs was in Cardiff last week, Friday 13th May, for the Welsh leg of his current UK tour.
Releasing his debut solo single 'Please Dont Let Me Go' in August last year, Murs went straight to Number One in the UK singles chart. The singer followed up with the release of his self-titled debut album on Monday 29th November 2010 which also featured another Number One smash hit, his second single 'Thinking Of Me'.
Olly co-wrote most of the album with a host of collaborators, from Chris Difford (Squeeze) to Eg White and Trevor Horn. He says: “Epic could have gone to all these writers and said: ‘right, Olly’s not gonna be in the session, but we want you all to write a song’. If they’d have done that, we’d have had a collection of 30, 40 tracks. That would have been rubbish. Well, they’d all have been good, but they wouldn’t have had my personality in them.”
Olly Murs remaining UK tour date:
Brighton Centre Brighton - SAT 21/05/2011
Cliffs Pavilion Southend - SUN 22/05/2011
