'Gritpop' UK band Brother have announced details of a new UK tour set for September.
Heavily championed by the likes of NME, the band have picked up the Britpop torch in an attempt to introduce the genre to a new generation of music fans. However, it would appear that it is impossible to reproduce a Gallagher sound without the mouth to back it up, and the band are also being recognised for their in-your-face arrogance and controversial statements. In a recent interview with NME singer Leonard Newell said: “We decided to write some songs. Turns out they were the best songs of the last 20 years.”
He added “We want to be the biggest band in the world. I just don’t think that any bands have an opinion any more, or if they do they’re just scared to say it...but we’re not, I guess.”
The Slough Britpop revivalists have anounced a run of five dates for their headline UK tour, kicking-off with a show in Newcastle on September 21st before trips to Sheffield, Portsmouth and Birmingham. The tour will conclude with a show in London on September 20th. Full details of the tour are listed below.
