One of the world’s best live bands, Biffy Clyro will document last year’s landmark show at Wembley Arena having released their first ever live album and DVD ‘Revolutions // Live At Wembley’ yesterday, June 27th.
To celebrate the release of ‘Revolutions // Live At Wembley’ a free live digital download EP is now available. Serving as a taster to the full album, two tracks – ‘Mountains’ and ‘Bubbles’ – will be free to download directly from HERE. Those fans who are registered with the band’s free fan club, Team Biffy, will also receive a third track ‘Machines’.
Recorded on December 4th 2010, the live album celebrates the band’s career to date as it includes songs ranging from fan favourite ‘57’ which originally featured on their debut EP right up to the present day with performances of all of the singles taken from their all-conquering album ‘Only Revolutions’.
In addition to the nineteen-track CD, ‘Revolutions // Live at Wembley’ also features a DVD filmed at the same show, a full band commentary on the show and a documentary of last year’s T in the Park show entitled ‘Only Reflections’.
‘Revolutions // Live At Wembley’ will be launched with nationwide cinema screenings of the film commencing from June 27th. Two special screenings at the Edinburgh Picture House (June 29th) and London’s Odeon West End (June 30th) will also feature an acoustic session from the band.
The release of ‘Only Revolutions’ catapulted Biffy Clyro into rock’s premier league. The album originally entered the charts at Number Eight when it was released towards the end of 2009, following outstanding sales and enduring tours the album peaked at Number Three a year later. The album has sold 600,000 copies in the UK alone and includes a succession of hit singles in the shape of ‘Mountains’, ‘Many of Horror’, ‘That Golden Rule’, ‘The Captain’, ‘Bubbles’ and ‘God and Satan’
