Guns N Roses Legend Slash Attacked With Mashed Potatoes on Soccer AM

Guitar icon Slash is usually celebrated wherever he travels, having fans in all four corners of the earth – but apparently, Soccer AM’s celebrity interviewer Tubes isn’t one of them.
Slash was lined-up to open what is now the biggest guitar shop in the UK in Epsom, and was also scheduled to be interviewed by the football show’s regular Q+A man Tubes, played by Peter Dale. But, just as the interview began, Tubes suddenly decided to throw MASHED POTATO at the superstar’s face.
The incident caused a huge commotion and Tubes was consequently removed from the area, while Slash immediately stormed off, clearly not happy at receiving a load of mash to the face. Eventually, Slash was convinced to return to the store and complete an interview – though this time, without Tubes.
The motives of the potato-infused attack were unknown; was it a publicity stunt, or does Tubes really just not like Slash? Either way, you can catch the interview on tomorrow morning’s (Sat 17th) episode of Soccer AM – a show I’m sure none of us are going to miss now.
