Manchester-based electronic rock trio The Whip are celebrating the release of their new album ‘Wired Together’ this week by giving away its opening track ‘Keep or Delete’ through the Southern Fried Records SoundCloud page. ‘Wired Together’, the follow-up to the band’s 2009 debut album ‘X Marks Destination’ is due for release on Monday 19th September. See below to listen to ‘Keep or Delete’.
The Whip were founded in Oldham in 2006 by frontman Bruce Carter. In 2008, they released their debut album ‘X Marks the Destination’, which featured the single ‘Trash’ and was produced by Jim Abbiss and Sneaker Pimps founder Liam Howe. Abbiss is probably best-known as the co-producer of Arctic Monkeys’ debut ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not’ as well as his work with Kasabian, Adele and KT Tunstall.
The Whip are made up of Carter, Nathan Sudders and Fiona Daniel. New album ‘Wired Together’ is produced by Jagz Kooner, who has previously worked with Primal Scream on their albums ‘XTRMNTR’ (2000) and ‘Evil Heat’ (2002).
