The Stone Roses Expected To Announce Manchester Heaton Park Shows & Festival Appearance TODAY AT 3PM

Today is the day that could deliver news of what thousands of Stone Roses fans have been waiting for. What a wait it has been too, 15 years to be exact, however, at 3pm today a London hotel will host a special press conference which is rumoured to confirm that legendary Manchester band the Stone Roses are reuniting for some massive Summer shows in 2012.
Members of Manchester's music scene have spoken out about the possible reunion with former Joy Division bassist Peter Hook now confirming the rumours to be true. Happy Mondays' Shaun Ryder has admitted its (the reunion) been coming for a while and Elbow's Guy Garvey has also claimed that the original Stone Roses line-up have been rehearsing together in Manchester over the Summer. The question on everyone's lips though is, are the rumours true and when will we hear official confirmation?
Stereoboard understands that today's 3:00pm London press conference will confirm the rumours are true and announce the Stone Roses will reform for a handful of live shows in Summer 2012. Two shows are expected to be announced for Manchester's 70,000 capacity Heaton Park, as well as a headline show at the Reading and Leeds Festivals. The band are also rumoured to announce that a brand new album is on the way.
