Scala & Kolacny To Perform At Royal Variety Show With Britain's Got Talent Winner

Following their most successful year to date, Scala & Kolacny Bros. announce their biggest UK TV appearance yet - a performance at The Royal Variety Show on December 5th. The choir will team up with Britain’s Got Talent winner Jai McDowall to perform their joint new single ‘With or Without You’, released on December 12th.
The band are then set to play an exclusive UK show at the HMV Forum on December 13th where Jai McDowall is set to make a special guest appearance. It will be Scala’s only UK show before the new year and is already rapidly selling out.

After hearing Scala & Kolacny Bros’ haunting version of U2’s classic ‘With Or Without You’ on the trailer for ITV’s award-winning show Downton Abbey, Simon Cowell asked the Belgium phenomenon to collaborate with the Britain’s Got Talent winner for his debut single, resulting in a beautiful new version of ‘With or Without You’ and a joint TV performance.
Steven Kolacny – Scala & Kolacny Bros. pianist/arranger commented “it was such a joy to work with Jai. This is one of our favorite songs and the response to the Downton Abbey trailer has been tremendous all over the world. We hope that this version, which is somewhat different, but very close in spirit, will take that even further”.
Jai added; “It’s been absolutely fantastic working with them; this track is so beautiful, epic and heartfelt, it has to be one of my favourites on the album. I’m aware that the track has had quite a cult following from Downton Abbey, so hope the fans enjoy this”.
Since first hitting the spotlight in the UK with their re-working of Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ used in the US trailer for ‘The Social Network’, Scala and Kolacny Brothers’ upward trajectory has continued exponentially.
This year has seen them headline stages at Coachella and SXSW, command the prestigious midday Sunday slot at Latitude Festival, shoot to the top of the Irish Charts after featuring on Downton Abbey and sell out performances all over the globe.
'With Or Without You' is released December 12th on Sony Music.
