Placebo have finally released their epic semi-acoustic performance in Cambodia via iTunes, meaning fans can relive the night once again with impeccable audio quality.
The show, for MTV EXIT, was held in Angkor Wat, a UNESCO heritage site in Cambodia, and was one of the most memorable performances of their two year tour which kicked off in 2008. They also became the first ever rock band to play at the 12th century temple. The download also includes a 10-Page PDF Art Booklet, featuring photographs taken from Brian Molko’s private collection.
MTV EXIT is a campaign about freedom and our rights as human beings to choose where we live, where we work, who our friends are, and who we love. Most of us take these freedoms for granted, but hundreds of thousands of people throughout the world have had these basic human rights taken away. So with the help of musicians and bands like Placebo, they’ve been raising awareness and money to help out those less fortunate than us.
The tracklist from the performance is below.
Because I Want You
Follow the Cops Back Home
Black-Eyed
Meds
Post Blue
Blind
Drag
Teenage Angst
Twenty Years
