And the award for the stupidest tattoo ever goes to... the girl in LA who decided to have ‘DRAKE’ inked onto her forehead - in the biggest font that could fit on her head.
The deranged fan entered Kevin Campbell’s LA-based tattoo shop ‘Will Rise’ with her head and eyebrows already shaved – enough to turn a few heads in itself. She then whipped out her iPhone, which was freshly prepared with a picture of the tattoo she wanted, in her own styled font.
Campbell may have been more apprehensive to ink the girl, had he known who Drake actually was. He is actually an inker who used to reside in the ‘Crip’ area of Harbour City (‘Crips’ and ‘Bloods’ are two fierce rival gangs) and is very experienced in tattooing gang symbols and tags all over gang-members bodies.
So when asked to stamp ‘Drake’ on the girls head, he assumed it was just another gang-related term, and went through his usual procedure when asked to tattoo on a person’s face – asking the customer three times whether they are sure they want the tat, and explaining the consequences of having a tattoo on the face. “After that, the bad decision is on them,” Campbell explained.
Although he must have thought the tattoo was pretty damn crap anyway, when he found out that Drake was a non-gangster Canadian rapper, he found it pretty hilarious, commenting: “I guess I feel bad that this dumbass got the name of the softest motherfucker in hip-hop tattooed on her forehead.” I wonder if Drake has anything to say about the episode?
