To support his forthcoming new album, former Blur guitarist Graham Coxon has announced an April 2012 UK tour.
Skinny indie lad, Graham Coxon, who gave us so many catchy guitar anthems with nineties Britpop legends Blur, is now in his forties believe it or not. During a career that has spanned 13 years, Graham has enjoyed being a solo since 1998, following Blur's infamous split.
Multi-instrumentalist Coxon has produced a variety of albums and continues to be a solid and influential figure in modern British music. He was recently voted by the public as the '15th greatest guitarist of the last 30 years' in a national BBC poll on 6Music.
Graham Coxon returns with his new album titled 'A+E', which will be released on 2nd April. 'A+E' is Coxon’s first release since the acclaimed, acoustic-driven 'The Spinning Top'.
Coxon describes the album as, “Improvisations, experiments in beats, rhythms. A chance to uninhibitedly make some sort of perversely sad, danceable and funny and despondent songs. I didn’t want to get caught up in my usual struggle with trying to make things sound really posh. I didn’t want lovely 60s-sounding drums and valves.”
