Following the cancellation of Sonisphere Knebworth, Shock-rocker Marilyn Manson has announced a performance at London's O2 Academy Brixton for Thursday 5th July. Tickets for Marilyn Manson are onsale this Thursday at 9am.
Marilyn Manson recently premièred the music video for his forthcoming single 'No Reflection'. The video, which is a typically uncompromising statement from Manson, was directed by Lukas Ettlin, who previously worked with Marilyn Manson on his award winning 'Personal Jesus' video. Marilyn Manson has revealed that he’ll be re-releasing his single ‘No Reflection’ as a limited-edition white vinyl piece in celebration of Record Store Day, which takes place later this month. The single will be released as white 7” vinyl in the UK and Europe on April 21st, and the vinyl will be strictly limited to 1500 copies and will feature ‘No Reflection’ (album version) and ‘No Reflection’ (single edit) on the flipside.
‘No Reflection’ is the lead track from Marilyn Manson’s forthcoming album ‘Born Villain’. Talking about the album, Manson said: “The new record, put simply, has the ambition and determination of how I started making music in the first place. It sounds like the first record in that it's not afraid to do anything. I had to remove myself from my lifestyle and start fresh.”
He continued: “It doesn't really sound like any of my old records. In fact it sort of sounds like what I listened to before I made records — Killing Joke, Joy Division, Revolting Cocks, Bauhaus, Birthday Party…It's very rhythm-driven. I think this will probably be the grandest concept record of all.”
‘Born Villain’ will be released on Cooking Vinyl and Manson's own label Hell, Etc, on April 30th.
