JLS - Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle - 1st April 2012 (Live Review)

Written by Lara Rainsforth
Aston, Marvin, Ortise and JB arrived in Newcastle yesterday to perform to a sell out crowd at The Metro Radio Arena. If you have ever seen JLS live then you will know it is quite easy to forget that they were the runners up in The X Factor a few years ago.
Since then possibly one of the hardest working groups in pop have made a name for themselves that outshines ‘The X Factor‘ label.
The lights dimmed and all four members of the group were lowered down to the stage on wires as they launched into the first song of the night, ‘Take Me Down‘ taken from their hit album – ‘Jukebox‘.
The sell out Geordie crowd were loving every minute of the show from start to finish. Fans of all ages were on their feet from the minute the lights dimmed.
Fans were also excited when two members of JLS were escorted from the front of the arena to the back where a second stage was waiting. Stewards did an excellent job at keeping the fans at reasonable distance and allowing the group to continue safely to the stage.
One of the highlights of the night for me was the boys performing Labrinth‘s huge single 'Earthquake' and also the medley of Usher and Chris Brown songs.
This isn’t the first time that I have seen JLS live and hopefully won’t be the last. Each time I see them perform, they seem to out do their last performance. The full show is outstanding from start to finish and full of energizing dance routines.
An additional show has been added to the tour for Newcastle and they will return on Friday 27th April 2012. If you are going to that show or any other show on the 4th Dimension tour, then you will love the show and will leave wanting more.
